This is THE chocolate cake!!! It's wet, moist, fluffy, sticky, and not too sweet. Pair it with our Silky Chocolate Frosting Mix for the ultimate indulgence! 

Ingredients: Cane Sugar, Wheat Flour, Cocoa Powder, Vanilla Extract, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Sea Salt.

What you'll need: 1 egg, 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup neutral oil, and 1/2 cup warm water.

Recommended: 8" x 8" pan, parchment paper, and a whisk.

So what's in it?

Vanilla Extract

We source a very famous organic and fair trade vanilla extract.

Sea Salt

We source a real mineral sea salt.

Wheat Flour

We source a local New England organic flour, unbleached and unenriched.

Cocoa Powder

We source an organic and fair trade (when possible) cocoa powder.

Cane Sugar

We source an organic and US brand of cane sugar. One of the most important ingredients in every dessert.

Baking Powder & Soda

We source a US brand of both baking powder and baking soda.

Baking Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 8"x8" baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Empty Pouch A into a bowl ad whisk in the egg, milk, oil, and Pouch B.

3. Pour in your warm water and whisk. The batter will be thin! Once combined, pour batter into the prepared pan.

4. Bake for 30 minutes and allow to cool in the pan. Frost and enjoy!

    Amazing! I can never go back to the others

    This cake and frosting are amazing! I got them originally at Thompsons Point Makers Market. It’s a little more work than the traditional boxed cakes but I can never go back now. So refreshing to not have such a preservative full item. My husband thought it was going to be super rich and heavy, but it’s the opposite. Just right.
